Who is a follower of The Lord Jesus?

“Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me.” (John 14:23–24, NKJV)
“But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience.” (Luke 8:15, NKJV)
“Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:31–32, NKJV)
Lovers and Followers of Jesus keep and abide in His words.

The greatest commandment is to Love the LORD your GOD with all your heart, soul, strength and mind. The second is to love your neighbor as you love yourself. seekingjesusfirst.com/seeking-jesus-first-apr-18-2025/
“And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested Him, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” He said to him, “What is written in the law? What is your reading of it?” So he answered and said, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’ and ‘your neighbor as yourself.’ ” And He said to him, “You have answered rightly; do this and you will live.” (Luke 10:25–28, NKJV)
“Then one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, perceiving that He had answered them well, asked Him, “Which is the first commandment of all?” Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” So the scribe said to Him, “Well said, Teacher. You have spoken the truth, for there is one God, and there is no other but He. And to love Him with all the heart, with all the understanding, with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love one’s neighbor as oneself, is more than all the whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.” Now when Jesus saw that he answered wisely, He said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.” (Mark 12:28–34, NKJV)
Love is the fulfillment of the law. Jesus commanded that we believe on Him whom God sent and love one another.
How do we love God? Quality time with Him, Face to face in his presence, Listen to His words and keep them (Jesus said, “If you love me keep my commands.), Communion and Continued relationship, Love His people.
How do we love others? “By love, serve one another.” Point them to Christ Jesus. Pray for them. Give them God’s words. Speak the truth in love to them.
The sons of God are led by the Spirit of God. The love of God overflows our heart by Holy Spirit which God has given us. So stay full of The Spirit.

Enter the rest for your soul.
seekingjesusfirst.com/seeking-jesus-first-april-17-2025/
“Since therefore it remains that some must enter it, and those to whom it was first preached did not enter because of disobedience, again He designates a certain day, saying in David, “Today,” after such a long time, as it has been said: “Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts.” For if Joshua had given them rest, then He would not afterward have spoken of another day. There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His. Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience. For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.” (Hebrews 4:6–13, NKJV)
“At that time Jesus answered and said, “I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and have revealed them to babes. Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight. All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him. Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” (Matthew 11:25–30, NKJV)
We must cease from striving within our souls and find rest in faith in Jesus the Christ and in His Word. We stop warring with God in our minds. We stop trying to “figure it out”. We stop allowing our emotions to pull us around by the nose. We stop trying to selfishly get our own way. In mind, will and emotions, we submit to God. We find our rest in the humility of Christ. We find our understanding in God’s word by His Spirit. We let the wisdom that is from above lead us.
Faith in God and in His word becomes the anchor of our souls and we find rest from striving with God.
